What is a Boiler Room?
The term “boiler room” was first used to refer to a place of prayer by the great 19th century English preacher Charles Spurgeon. Spurgeon referred to a room in his church where the congregation gathered and prayed for him in the ministry as the “boiler room” or source of power for his ministry. In the early days of the 24/7 Prayer movement they also referred to their prayer rooms as “boiler rooms.” We started NKY Boiler Room out of a passion for Jesus, prayer, and the Northern Kentucky/Greater Cincinnati area. Our hope is to ignite a movement of prayer in our area and to teach, resource, and empower others to pray. On this site you’ll find links to various prayer resources, a place to sign up for prayer slots during scheduled prayer events, share prayer requests, and more. Shoot us an email at nky247prayer@gmail.com if you have any questions. We’d love to hear from you!
